The 1 oz Peace Dollar Silver Round is a wonderful representation of America’s favorite silver dollar, the United States Peace Liberty Dollar. The original Peace Liberty Dollar design was minted to commemorate the years of peace following the end of the First World War. The very popular American Peace Dollar circulated during the first part of the twentieth century. The Peace Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci, who migrated to the United States in 1905 and became a naturalized citizen in 1913.

The obverse design of the 1 oz Peace Dollar Silver Round is a goddess-based likeness of Lady Liberty, for which Francisci used his wife as a composite model. The profile of the “Goddess of Liberty” wears a crown of rays and is surrounded by stars to capture the symbolism of American excellence. The crown further illustrates her bearing as symbol of power and inspiration.
The reverse of the 1 oz Peace Dollar Silver Round features an American Bald Eagle with wings resting at its side, sitting atop a mountain bathed in the rays of the rising sun. In its talons, the eagle clutches an olive branch, the enduring symbol of peace. This design of the Peace Dollar would inspire the nation for decades and remain a constant reminder to respect the war effort and appreciate the concept of living harmoniously with one another.
