The 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin is the official silver bullion coin of the United States Mint. The Silver Eagle is widely considered the most popular silver bullion coin available worldwide. First minted in 1986, the Silver Eagle contains one full ounce of pure 99.9% pure silver and is guaranteed by the US government.

The obverse of the 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin was designed by Adolph A. Weinman, and features the historic Lady Liberty. As she moves forward towards the sun and mountains, her flowing hair blows in the wind. She is draped in an American flag and holds laurel branches in her left hand. The date, LIBERTY, and In God We Trust, are also shown.
On the reverse you will find the famous John Mercanti design Heraldic Eagle, with a shield and 13 five pointed stars which represent the Thirteen Colonies. The eagle clutches an olive branch in its right talon, and arrows in its left. Also inscribed on the reverse is 1 oz Fine Silver – One Dollar, and United States of America.
1 oz American Silver Eagle coins are shipped in plastic tubes that securely hold 20 coins. The Monster Box is a top seller and includes 25 tubes for a total of 500 coins (ounces). Coins sold individually are shipped in plastic flips.
